Funerals are never easy occasions to attend or to organise. In Loving Memory were asked to design and produce a bespoke, beautiful Order of Service Funeral Booklet to represent the recently deceased and encourage a range of emotions from the reader – to smile, laugh, cry and create interesting talking points about their life.

The last few years during the covid pandemic, have been very difficult for all of us but when we lose someone close to us, not being able to say our goodbyes increased the pain and heartache. As the restrictions were lifted, Freda’s family and friends were able to celebrate her amazing life and give her the send off she deserved.

Freda was an eccentric who lived her long life to the full. Her eclectic lifestyle included her loves of fairies, butterflies, dogs, the Queen, trifle, wooly hats, the opera, flowers, wildlife and charity shops! She was well known around Penge in South East London and befriended everyone with her wit and humour. Everyone loved her even within the numerous charity shops she visited looking for wooly hats and if they had bobbles on them she pulled out her scissors and cut them off before buying it! A real character.

This was a real challenge to create a bespoke funeral booklet that covered all Freda’s eclectic interests, however, In Loving Memory were able to call upon Freda’s family for photographs and memories dating back many years. The final booklet, printed on a recycled, uncoated paper set the tone for one of our most interesting and unique brochures that echoed the life of this most interesting of women.
